Serie A side Roma are trying to hand goalkeeper Mile Svilar a new contract but they have been left surprised by his wage demands.
Daniele Longo has reported about the situation, revealing that contact did take place between the goalkeeper’s entourage and Roma’s Florent Ghisolfi in the last few days. The Giallorossi sporting director has now memorised how much the player wants in a new deal but the club has been left shocked by the demands.
They want a wage of €4 million per season, with Svilar currently earning €1 million per season in a deal that runs out in the summer of 2027.Â
Despite this, talks will continue and Roma know that they will have to make a substantial offer to come close to Svilar’s demands, with Premier League clubs also monitoring the scenario.Â
The Serbian has become a regular for the club since impressing under Daniele de Rossi last season.
