Napoli set for meeting with Feyenoord for Igor Paixao

Antonio Conte’s Napoli side might be presently involved in a title race but the manager already has one eye on preparing the squad for next season. The former Chelsea, Inter and Juventus manager has been very clear with the board that he wants the club to conduct their business early this time and not stretch it till the end of August like it happened last year.

This is why Napoli have already been quite active in closing down targets with sporting director Giovanni Manna at the forefront. According to Il Mattino (via areanapoli.it), they have a reported budget of €150m for the summer and are looking to bring in at least 6 new players.

High on the priority list is Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao, who along with David Neres are supposed to replace the impact of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left wing. Napoli are expected to meet with people from Feyenoord over the next few hours. The hurry has been accentuated by Paixao’s recent hattrick against Twente which has caught the attention of the Milan clubs as well and Napoli wish to get ahead of the competition.
