Milan set to reward Luka Jovic with a contract extension

Milan are ready to offer Luka Jovic a two-year contract extension this summer.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are more than happy with Luka Jovic’s performances throughout the season and are expected to renew his contract until the summer of 2028.

Jovic was the standout performer for the Rossoneri in their recent Milan derby in the Coppa Italia semi-finals as he netted a brace within the first hour of the game to send his team to the tournament’s final.

The Serbian international has scored 13 goals since joining Milan in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer. The club feel that this is a satisfactory figure considering how Jovic has remained in the background as a reserve for most of his time.

Milan have the option of renewing Jovic’s contract at the start of each season till 2028 but the player wants an immediate two-year extension. Milan are expected to agree with the player’s wishes since he has been a considerable attacking option.
