Premier League giants Chelsea have made initial contact for Milan star Rafael Leao.
Daniele Longo has reported today that Chelsea are convinced about the Portuguese’s abilities, despite a rather frustrating season in a Rossoneri shirt.
Because of that, they have made an initial attempt to know more about hs situation at the San Siro. He is represented by Jorge Mendes, who also manages Joao Felix. The forward had joined Milan on a loan deal late in the winter transfer window and he is expected to return to Chelsea in the summer.
This connection can be vital for the Blues and Mendes will be key to making sure that the two clubs can find an agreement for Leao or not. At the moment, the potential move is at the very initial stages but it is clear that Chelsea are interested. Milan do not see Leao as an unsellable player and that can prove important for Enzo Maresca’s side.
