Why Daniele De Rossi has to turn Roma’s form around quickly

Serie A side Roma have endured the worst start to their season in 14 years and time is running out for Daniele De Rossi to make a positive impression following his renewal.

Roma have acquired only three points from their first four matches of the new season, drawing thrice, losing once and scoring just twice over the games. The Giallorossi management put huge faith in manager De Rossi last campaign when they appointed him interim head coach after parting ways with Jose Mourinho. While the former club captain resurrected Roma’s performances following Mourinho’s departure, he has not been able to get things in the right way this season.

According to SportMediaset, the club owners are dissatisfied with De Rossi’s tactics and are analysing the situation. Former Milan manager Stefano Pioli is expected to be approached soon. The Italian tactician has been previously quoted by Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr but he would like to stay in Italy and the project at Roma interests him a lot.

Daniele De Rossi needs to turn things around quickly to avoid the boot and furthermore give the club a healthy base to build their season on.
