Tottenham interested in PSG’s Milan Skriniar

Premier League side Tottenham are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar and they are a credible candidate to land the player.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham are set to join the race for PSG’s Milan Skriniar this winter alongside Serie A outfits Inter and Napoli.

Luis Enrique has made the former Nerazzurri captain redundant and excluded him from Les Parisiens’ squad for Sunday’s match against Lyon. Skriniar is now looking for a way out after leaving Inter on a free transfer in 2023 for a bigger contract worth €10 million net for five years. However, things have not gone according to plan for the 29-year-old.

The next month is going to be decisive for Skriniar’s career as he might have to sacrifice a part of his salary to depart the French giants. Spurs see him as a rotation option who could play in place of Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero.

A return to Italy would see him arrive on an expensive loan. Napoli are expected to be tempted by the option of landing the Slovakian as he is a proven defender in the league. Since Alessandro Buongiorno is out of the game with an injury, Skriniar could be a stopgap solution.
