Roma make concrete contact for Villarreal’s Alexander Sørloth

Serie A giants Roma hold concrete interest in Villarreal striker Alexander Sørloth and have made contact for the player.

The Giallorossi want to sign a centre-forward this summer, with Romelu Lukaku’s loan spell having ended and he will not join the club permanently and his future lies away from the Olimpico.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Roma want to take forward their interest in Sørloth and they have made contact with the entourage of the Norwegian striker, who scored 23 times in La Liga last season and famously scored four times against Real Madrid.

The problem for Roma, as of now, is that Villarreal want a fee of €38 million to part ways with the former Leipzig man and that is what his release clause currently is. Roma want to lower that price or work on a different sort of agreement, with the club also working to sign Enzo Le Fee from Rennes.
