Roma fans protest against Friedkins as new manager chase hots up

Serie A side Roma’s fans are protesting against club owners Friedkin Group following the sacking of Ivan Juric.

TMW reports that Roma fans have expressed dissent to the Friedkins as they put up a banner saying ‘Friedkin Go Home’ in front of the hotel where the owners are staying.

The Giallorossi owners have decided to take matters into their own hands after the club’s underwhelming start to the new season and Ivan Juric’s sacking. They want to lead negotiations in finding a competitive head coach and have resolved to stay in a hotel far from Trigoria to avoid protests and media interventions.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin are set to hold talks with sporting director Florent Ghisolfi soon to take a call on the new coach.

Roma fans have shown their anger before when Jose Mourinho was sacked and now they believe that they will have to stick to one coach for their long-term project to prosper. However, the Friedkins have regularly intervened and took calls on the club’s management.

The likes of Daniele De Rossi and Rudi Garcia are currently the front runners for the Roma top job.
