Napoli make learning Italian neccesary for club players

Serie A league leaders Napoli now have a regulation in place at the club where every player has to learn Italian.

Victor Osimhen, during his time at Napoli, didn’t learn Italian and he generally spoke English. Napoli have, as reported by Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (as relayed by CN24) made sure that the same doesn’t happen.

The club have made sure that every player who joins them has a detail in their contract that they will have to undergo three Italian lessons in one week. The lessons will be paid for by the club, who want to make sure that they are an Italian club and it is the language of communication.

If manager Antonio Conte does a speech in the dressing room, he will only do it in Italian and not in English – even if he is quite fluent in the language. The club want to make sure that there is a unity in the dressing room and everyone speaks i nthe same language.
