Liverpool monitoring Bologna’s Sam Beukema

Serie A side Bologna have seen Sam Beukema impress this season and his performances have now attracted attention from multiple major clubs.

The defender had played at Anfield against Liverpool earlier in the campaign and he had spoken about how Reds boss Arne Slot tried to sign him at Feyenoord. 

According to sources close to Get Italian Football News, Liverpool are monitoring the situation of the Dutch centre-back and that is because of Slot’s liking for the 26-year-old.

Two Italian clubs in Inter and Juventus are also interested in the centre-back, who has played 21 times in all competitions and 15 of those appearances have come in Serie A. We also understand that there is interest from both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

So far this season, Beukema has shown an ability in possession that suits Vincenzo Italiano’s style, showcasing a high tendency to receive the ball and he has also proved to be very reliable in the air. He has also thrived, when it comes to playing the ball forward quickly.
